Creswell Beautifcation Project

Nearly 100 Creswell community members have stepped up to help improve the look and feel of Oregon Avenue. In conjunction with the City’s annual City-wide Clean-Up event, volunteers will be power-washing and painting the facades of six downtown business’ store fronts between Front Street and Third Street along Oregon Avenue. Blueberry bushes, among other plants will spruce up street-side planters to welcome the spring weather and keep Oregon Avenue blooming well into the summer months.

Creswell First!, the city’s first community foundation, partnered with enthusiastic volunteers and the city’s RARE Community & Economic Development Coordinator, Maia Hardy, to match resourcefulness with a great idea.

“Without the partnership of Creswell First! the Creswell Beautification Project would not have been possible,” remarked Hardy.

A sign of great things to come, Creswell First! is committed to facilitating the sparks of great ideas; to bridge the generosity of community members with great ideas to better our residents and our community. Though still in its early stages, Board members are hopeful that the community foundation will kindle great things to come.
